What is an online membership?
Well, it is a membership registered through online and transactions like requesting books for borrowings and returns are also made through online.
Who can join as an online member?
Any one, who knows to browse internet very fluently. But this is restricted to the residence of Chennai city only.
How does it work?
1. You got to understand the rules and regulations, tariff, plans etc by browsing our site thoroughly
2. After deciding to join, you must submit the "New Registration" form dully filled-in
3. This library, after verification, will send you through its staff the printed application for your signature and also to collect the membership fee (Rs.2275.00) either by cash or by cheque favoring "Infinitebooks.com Pvt Ltd"
4. You will be informed your membership number which is the "Customer No " for the "Member Login"
5. ”Member Login” enables you to browse our inventory and send request(s) for the title(s) that appear in blue color.
6. The requested books are sent to your residence and collected back after your informing us to collect the same.
7. Thus the transactions go on for one year from the month of your registration.
8. The membership may be renewed subsequently every year by paying the subscription amount as indicated in the website at that time.
Can I read books through online?
No, this is not a kind of e-library where one can read books through internet, this is just a library which facilitates to become a member and transact through online. Our inventories are not digitalized.
Can I take multiple type memberships?
No we don't have any provision for such requests
How do I make my payments?
We will arrange to collect payment through our library staff from you. Your payment can be either by cash or by cheque favoring “Infinitebooks.com Pvt Ltd”
Can I make my payments in installments?
Your payment should be made at one go only
Do I need to pay the reading charges as and when I borrow the books?
No, not required. Your Annual Subscription will suffice for the entire borrowings for the year.
If I don't use the library for sometime, will that period be extended?
No we are sorry. Once you have paid the Annual Subscription, the membership is valid for the next consecutive 12 months and it automatically expires after 12 months, irrespective of your usage of library facilities
What should I do if the book is damaged or lost at my end?
In such situation you got to pay the cost of the book to this library. However, if you happened to locate the book later you may return the same and get your money back.

How many books I can borrow at a time?
Although your monthly borrowing is up to 25, you can borrow a maximum of 5 books at a time.
What should I do when I could not complete the book before the due date?
You can always communicate to us (by e-mail or by phone) to extend the reading time for another term (14 days). But remember such an extension will be treated as one more unit borrowed.
If I borrow books less than my monthly quota will the balance number be carry over proportionately?
A member is allowed to borrow up to 25 books per month. However, if a member borrows less than 25 books, in a month, the balance number cannot be carried over or compensated subsequently..
In case your mobile library visits my street / area can I make transactions?
No it is not possible as your database will not be available in the mobile vehicle.
Can I cancel the membership? If so how much money I will get back?
Yes, you can. You would get back the deposit amount of Rs.500.00 /- any time on cancellation. But the subscription amount will not be refunded even you have not or partly used the library facility.

What is a mobile library?
Its otherwise "Library On Wheels". Our mobile library is a van which allows you to get inside, browse and borrow books - it gives you the feeling of visiting a full - fledged library right at your doorstep!
Who can join as a mobile library member?
A member is open only for the residence of Chennai city. It is further restricted to the residence of selective areas where our mobile library visits.
How do I know if you mobile library visits my area?
Please refer to "mobile library routes (proposed)" in the site and verify if you area is covered.
How does it work?
When the mobile library visits your area you may evaluate and decide for a membership.
You can enroll membership with the staff who comes in the mobile library, by paying the appropriate amount .
Once you become a member, you are allowed to borrow books.
When the mobile library visits your area next time, you may return the books you've read and make fresh
borrowings
The mobile library will visit the particular area once a month on fixed days and timings..
How do I make my payments?

Can I borrow books that are available in your static library also?
Yes you can. All you have to do is to browse our website and send your request. We will arrange to include those books in our mobile library, so that you can borrow form it subsequently.

What should I do if I am not available when your mobile library visits my area?
In such cases, you may drop in to our office and return the books and borrow further. If you could not do so, you will have to wait for our next visit and make transactions. But please note that if there is any fine for the expiry of due dates, the same has to be paid immediately.
How many books I can borrow at a time?
You can borrow a maximum of 10 books at a time.
What is the arrangement you would make in case you mobile library does not turn-up on the scheduled day for various reasons?
Well, for reasons beyond our control like, heavy rain, a holiday, mechanical problems etc.. Our mobile library cannot be operated on that day. In such events, we would allow you to make the transactions in our subsequent scheduled visit. We will not charge any fine payable by you on account of this.

What happens if I change my residence to the area where you do not operate your mobile library?
Option 1. is you can transfer your membership type to either "online" or "static" by paying appropriate amount, as a special case.
